1 year agotrue true. itβs very sad. I know for me at least, when I was younger (like below 12 years old I would say) I was always so proud and happy to be a girl. but now, even though I am happy with myself most of the time, itβs a lot harder and there are so many standards to live up to. especially like you said with the makeup and always feeling like I have to look a certain way.
and, it seems like a lot of women and girls get criticized for talking about these issues because (limit)

this is so true! this kinda stuff is everywhere and every girl experiences something like this. personally, iβve struggled a lot with body image bc im a dancer and constantly staring in the mirror with other skinny girls since i was 3 has def taken a toll on me. i know deep down iβm skinny, but it like doesnβt register in my brain and itβs so sad. itβs not just in dance, but everywhere girls compare themselves and h@te their bodies and wish that they (contd)

1 year agoI do feel the same way as you sometimes. I sometimes feel ashamed of my body because its not picture perfect like the girls on social media. But we have to support and empower the rest of our female families all around the world and stick together to prove that weβre too, are strong. π«Άπ»π«Άπ»

The world may expect perfection, but we don't have to accept this for ourselves. We can support ourselves & each other & gently remind people that we are humans, not robots!
