1 year ago@Dee Van I think there’s going to be fireworks all weekend too. I didn’t hear as many as usual tonight though. We’re in a severe drought (TX), as are many other states. There’s several counties under a burn ban and they were considering cancellation of some of the fireworks in the smaller cities around Dallas & FTW because of the high risk for wildfires.

1 year agoVery patriotic! Extremely patriotic! Well done. ❤️🤍💙 I had a good time with my family several times this past holiday weekend. But I celebrated what I was grateful for. I just couldn't get into the celebrating America mood. What with the Supreme Court's overturn of Roe v Wade, the overturn of NY's gun safety law, the overturn of the EPA's power to regulate corporations' rate of becoming run on green energy (so that the USA can meet it's green energy goal promises), and the Justices talking

1 year ago...about coming after contraception, LGBTQ+ relationships & marriage rights next: this Court is trying it's best to make our country into a theocracy instead of a democracy. I can't celebrate that. I fear that. There's a reason our Founding Father's wanted a separation between Church and State, and frankly these rulings are questionable at best & unconstitutional most likely.

1 year ago@andriavanb thank you. I know many weren’t feeling it this year. I’ll celebrate those who honor their oath to people, not party. There are still some there. As for the corrupt criminals who only serve greed, lust for power and total control, wellll, they can all go straight to “where they belong”.
