1 year agoWe talk about it every year. This year we had a girl speak  in between our first couple classes when all the planes crashed. She talked about what happened.
I had this one friend who was like how come we pay more attention or “milk” 9/11? He said it’s not the worse that happened in America, we’ve gone through worse. How come we don’t really talk about all those other events as a whole just like we talk about 9/11. We talk about worse things through school but not as a whole, how come?

So uhm. I was actually doing a interview with my mom for a class assignment in LA a few days ago.
And she was alive. So here’s her story ( even though I was not alive 😅 )
She’s 48 so she was alive. She worked in a hospital at the time, it was for like major injuries like brain, mental, or like having to learn to walk again. So she was at work and when she heard that the twin tower crashed her whole hospital went on alert because they were making sure they would not-

1 year agoAttack because it was a major hospital for all the people with issues you know.
And she remembers going home and watching the news on tv the whole time. And she could barley sleep that night because she just remover things that you could never forgot. Like people jumping to their deaths. Because they could not get out because they could not get out.
And she remembers thinking, “oh that is such a bad accident” when the first plane ✈️ hit. But when the second plane hit she knew that something was

1 year agoGoing on. She was scared out of her mind.
She also said that the news was on all day and night. So she was always watching that.
My dad was actually at his work at school. ( he was a teacher at the time ) and they just stopped everything to watch the news.
It was very sad day. And to be honest I’m glad I was not alive on that day. Because I feel bad for all those people who lived, died on 9/11…

1 year agoOh and I literally watched a video for it. And there are people being swallowed by the smoke. And I feel so bad for the news reporters because they were talking about it and then they had to run because the smoke was coming. I found it on YouTube and watched it being a dummy, because it’s so petrifying.
There was a video of people when the first plane hit and the people were like “What the H*ll was that?!?“ and the smoke just comes up. And there are also like videos of the planes coming in-

there is a video of this guy with a camera hiding behind a car because the smoke was coming towards him.
And another one shows people going into a store because of the smoke and they were screaming and crying and it was so sad.
There are videos on it but I would say DONT WAtCH it! They are scaring as heck and it’s just sad that people had to go through that. And died. 😭✋🏿

1 year ago@Peeps I just want to say. I’m sorry for all your losses. And everything tY had to go through that. It was a horrible day for all of America. I actually watched a video on it being me the curious person I am. I saw many people running from the smoke and people on their homes. It’s very sad and again. I’m sorry

Aotd- I wasn’t born during 9/11, but people do talk about it quite often..my mom’s birthday is on 9/11 though,
She told me that she was cutting her birthday cake and the tv was turned on, and the news about just showed up..

My husband was the contact person for people on the 110 th floor where his clients office was. They called him to see who else had gotten out and who hadn’t. The phone was ringing all day from people who hadn’t heard from someone……
