Not your typical Recolor pic, I know. As some of you know, my 18yo daughter was diagnosed with MALS. We now have a potential surgery date: Mar 14th. Praying insurance will be approved in time so it wonโt have to be postponed. Sheโs in pain for hours every time she eats. Sorry I havenโt been on Recolor much the past couple of days. We met with the surgeon on Friday and Iโve kind of been in a funk. Even though Iโm thankful to have a surgery date and have found an awesome dr, itโs becoming real.

1 year agoI have MALS as well. I spent 27 days in the hospital 2 years ago, because of the nausea and pain. Because of my age and other health factors they would not do the surgery. They gave me a pain block in the celiac plexus which stopped the pain and nausea. I had another one done last summer. I also had a stint placed in the celiac artery. Thank God everything is working. Iโm so sorry your daughter is going through this. I will be praying for her and your family. This is not an easy surgery. Prayers

1 year agoCarol, Iโm so sorry about your daughter. I will be praying for her. Iโm struggling from two different treatments for cancer and waiting to hear if I will need a third different kind every three weeks for a year. Still fighting side effects and third is worse. Lost approx a quarter of my hair that will never grow back, still losing and side effects. My heart goes out to you. May God bless your daughter and anything she ha to endure. ๐๐โ๏ธ
