1 year agoKaren I’m so sorry you’ve been diagnosed with osteoporosis but please try and not stress about it. I’ve lived with osteoporosis in my spine for years. You just need to be careful not to break any bones. as healing would take longer. I tried the drugs for osteoporosis but they made me feel sick so I stopped taking them. Try googling the drugs they are advising then make up your mind if you want to take them. Exercise they say is the best thing to strengthen bones and so is vitamin D.

Not happy that flosamax causes bone loss in the jaw - my oncologist and primary say to take it - my dentist wants to take a set of X-rays before so if I get any issues we have a baseline and I see the Ortho on the 2nd - these drs don’t know shit -one of my current rx causes bone loss🙄so I’m weaning myself off - I do weight training so hopefully that will help thank you so much ♥️😘

1 year agoHi Karen . I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 5 years ago . I distressed over the drugs that they insisted I take as I was in the fracture zone . None of what they suggested seemed to sit right with me . Five years later and I have reduced the bone loss and I am back in the osteopenia zone . I did not take drugs I took a product called Algae cal . I also walk and swim and I have a vertical vibration machine it is called Marodyne LIV low intensity vibration . It all works but it is definitely

1 year agoA work in progress . Believe me I know how you feel but they thought it was impossible to reverse the bone loss but it wasn’t . I have all my dexa scans as proof and I would love to give you any information you need . That is if you want . I am here to offer you support .

1 year agoSorry to hear you were diagnosed with osteoporosis. Hopefully, it can be dealt with without too much medication. 🙏🙏 Know several ladies who were put on calcium supplements to help strengthen their bones. Maybe that would help if your not already on it. I am actually having a dexa scan this Tuesday basically to see if my bones are strong enough to undergo a procedure on my back in late Sept. Don’t worry about commenting, concentrate on your health. ❤️🌹❤️🌹
