"Justice is NOT Blind"
America has never honored it's own "mission statement" with promising "liberty and justice for ALL." It has never been "indivisible."
We were indoctrinated with a pledge that only holds true for one select group. And that IS TRUTH ... especially now.
That's all ...

Tracy, this is so beautiful, and your observation is certainly assertive. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

You are so correct. Justice has only been โblindโ for the landed, moneyed and those well-connected white men. Not POC or some women (until very recently) or new immigrants. We must all make sure that though the โArc of the Moral Universe is Long, it Bends Toward Justiceโ. We do that by , marching, advocating loudly and VOTING the right people into office. One can be fervent, assertive and truth-telling because one loves fellow human beings and the planet, not because one has a heart full of hate

@Dalia3๐ฒ๐พ๐ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ๐บ๐บ๐ท๐ท๐ธ๐ธ๐ Just truthful.
When you have a wealthy white person who was found guilty of crimes, still out in the world ... but a young black man or poor white man who is spending life in prison for petty theft or having an ounce of weed ... that is not justice. But, it makes sense when you realize the prison system is a profit generating machine.
If we are not willing to live our words, then we shouldn't force them on anyone or claim them to be our "motto."

Very nicely done. Justice seems very blind allowing a black man arrested 46 times to be free. To punch a woman in the face and threaten people on a NY subway. I am thinking all those people on the subway wanted him in jail. Suffering from white guilt much?

@Amaizelle Anew ๐งโโ๏ธ Mr. Neely was murdered on that subway. He had a mental illness, not a criminal mind. He could not get treatment and was left on the streets to suffer. A severe mental illness needs treatment, not criminal punishment. Criminals chose to commit crimes, Mr. Neely was being controlled by biological errors in his brain.
It saddens me that you don't see that.
