11 months agoBeautifully done & expertly stated history, Tracy! π€© My husband has been reading the book Human Smoke &it covers the beginnings of World War 2 through news stories from then. Itβs scary, between whatβs happening in the world today & the many reflections of that time. The antisemitic sentiments, from past leaders whose images have since been white washed. The Republican Party refusing to vote for us to accept Jewish children seeking asylum, before the war escalated, even if it cost us nothing. ππ

11 months agoSo awful. π The demonizing & βotheringβ of people makes me ill. I feel like a big part of that process was during the pandemic & the extreme numbness towards massive amounts of death & disability. Xenophobia towards Asian Americans, increased divisiveness, etc. I cannot fathom having that much hate & xenophobia not to mention the ego to look down on everyone who isnβt exactly like me. It hurts my heart to think about. I donβt want to live in a world of meβs, our diversity is our crowning jewel.

Hate, against anyone, is so ugly. I strongly dislike those who intentionally hurt people, especially for no reason. Those who commit crimes against others, need to be punished, of course ... but to hate people simply because they don't align with ones personal beliefs ... that is evil and anything but Godly.
